Well when free ranged chickens are more likely to come into contact with wild birds that may or may not be carrying some awful things...but I will keep free ranging just the same...seems wrong not to when I have the room and what not...I like seeing them wandering around the yard. I will cull any that get sick because who wants chickens that can't live free?
