But wait if there is no other sympotomes other than sneezing and coughing and some little bubbles other than that they act normal and act like chickens nothing out of the ordinary but sneezing coughing and bubbles could this just go away and could it get my new trio of cochins sick?

Every chicken you own could get sick. Maybe the new cochins were carriers. Who knows? If it were me, I would start medicating them all (in the water) and call my poultry extension vet tomorrow.

Sorry to hear. I also have a black cochin who has been ?sneezing? chirping.. for a few weeks. The only one in my flock of 17 and today I picked her up out of the sawdust where she was bathing and I noted a few bubbles in her eye. Does not seem bothered by it and no issues with stool or eating or anything. I think I will start some antibiotics. I have had a lot of issues with this flock. Love my peeps though. I know she started with the chirping? sneezing sound when it got colder. I was thinking a bronchitis... Or at least hoping so as this seems to be survivable for older chickens. My cochin is about 5-6 months old or so. Not laying yet.

I brought my cochin in. Now in a cat crate. She is loving the egg/oatmeal/yogurt/ grain cereal mix. I started her on some neomycin. Recommended for respiratory issues. She only has the slightest bit of clear, not smelly discharge from her nose and a few bubbles at the corners of her eyes. I could not think of culling my flock for a chance at something. They all ...even this little one seem otherwise healthy. Do you think I should start the rest on a dose to be safe??

Do you think it could have something to do with the dust? I was using saw dust because I could get it free but noticed it was bothering not only my birds but me because it's so dusty, so have now switched to wood shavings less dust better for all of us. Hope it can be something that simple for ya'll. Also be careful when using antibiotics, when your not sure of what your treating.

Since she seems to be the only one with issues and they started since it got cold and wet and actually since I started adding more sawdust to the coop.... could be. Does seem to be an upper respiratory infection though. Similar to our seasonal colds. She is bright and alert otherwise. Just has this intermittent sneeze and recent runny nose and eye. She also roost along with the other bigger birds... sorta in amongst their feathers. I checked the others and not a drop of snot to be seen. Eyes all clear. I don't usually like to treat with antibiotics... unless necessary. Do you think it better to just treat her and not the others unless they start showing symptoms? The sawdust is quite coarse, though they love to bath in the pile in the barn too.!! RB have you had any changes in your flock?

If the others aren't showing symptoms maybe not treat them. Just keep an eye on them. Can you get some VETRX where you are? Might try that before treating you can even spray the whole flock with it after they go to roost also put on the one that showing symptoms beak and under feathers. I have it now but haven't had to use it. It's all natural. Might be worth a try anyway.
