bucket nesting boxes

hey ozark, i dont have any pics of them.also, im kind of a newby here and havent figured out the pic posting thing yet.my tractors i built for my cochins are very nice as well and would love to show them off.

as far as the buckets go, they are just sitting in the corners of my tractors with a brick in front for a step.about a 6x8 in hole cut in the front for them to access it.

Don't you just love the simplicity? They don't care if we build fancy nesting boxes. That is great! Thanks for posting the pic!!

I use a rubbermaid container for a nesting box I like it because I only need one and 4 birds can get in it at the same time:>) It is also very easy to clean. I just screw it to a board on the wall so there's a lip for the lid to sit on. And secure it by putting a makeshift stand under. There's a picture of it here

Has anyone that is using the buckets for nesting boxes had any to crack or break apart in the cold winter? This is what I am afraid of that might happen. And for how long have you been using them?
