I'm finally back in after 3 days of rabbit hunting . I checked on my cockerel and I did not see no black on his chest.

I'm putting some mutts in my bator, but hope to start on my Buckeyes later this summer. I'm going to purchase from Sandhill - hopefully they'll have some later on in the summer since I didn't get in gear until now. Have been enjoying reading all the posts to this thread though!

I couldn't have said it any better. I talk to a lot of folks who just roll their eyes and shake their heads when I talk to them sometimes about my birds. Who would've ever imagined that a simple thing like a chicken could make an old man "wax poetic" and get all romantic in sorts about a silly bird? It sure is good to be around others who get the same way!

God Bless,

God Bless,

A chicken who is SOP or close to it is a work of art and I will "wax poetic" about mine if I every get any! But I know what you mean.
I get a little tired of being known as the crazy chicken lady. I love my chickens and they bring me alot of joy and satisfaction. I feel sorry for those who don't understand that feeling, they are sure missing out.

I have to tell ya, my family and friends are all shocked that I am so involved with my chickens! I was always the inside type, and never cared to do outside work (gardening, farming, lawn), or chores. I did the housework, and sewing, and quilting, etc. But, NOW, I have no time for inside things! LOL

I so enjoy these crazy birds, that I spend all my time outside! My dad was a carpenter, and I learned alot from him. I do enjoy woodworking, and construction. I helped remodel our home, and have done alot of things like that. Now, I have built chicken coops and runs, with little help! Crazy enjoyable!

Tomorrow is Wednesday. How would that make a Saturday hatch date? If tomorrow is day one, then 21 days from tomorrow would be on a Tuesday.

By tomorrow (today), I meant stop turning.
