Baaaawk!!!!

I shipped a load of buckeyes to him, dunno if he butchered them or showed them or what but if its Jason Page from Chicopee, MA he received some of my buckeyes.

Yep that's him.

"if you see a lot of black in the body" and "have excessive black in their bodies " is now breed standard?

Dunno, I'm guessing not, "if you see a lot of black in the body" and "have excessive black in their bodies " those are mine, the really really really nice ones they are someone else's, someone with the best flock, the best inbred unrelated flock in the whole wide world!

No no no no.

Let's get our terminology straight here folks.

There was no "Grand Champion Buckeye" at the OH National 2010.

There was a Best of Breed (BB) and Reserve of Breed (RB) Buckeye, in both large fowl and bantam.

The only way the word "Champion" could have been applied to a Buckeye is if one had gotten Champion (CH) American or higher, which, at that particular show, didn't happen (there have been Buckeyes who've won CH or RCH American at other shows, but not the OH National last year.) Let's all use the terms correctly, k?

Thanks.

And you know what? I think we can all agree without reservation that Duane Urch has the best Buckeyes in North America. The man has been breeding them for more than 50 years. He's an APA/ABA judge. I like to call him the Godfather of Buckeyes. He's earned it.

Ok, let's change the subject and talk about chickens, not people any more.

So, I've got an incubator full of eggs, and about 70 in the hatcher. Two more boxes going out next week. Yay!

And hey, who is planning on going to the Crossroads show in October? Should be huge.
