Around eight weeks is a good time. . .

What are the differences I should be looking for?

The males will have pointed sex feathers coming in the saddle and hackle while the females will be rounded.

Still looking for Buckeye Bantams, prefer the Blockberger strain if possible.

Will be at BlueGrass Poultry Show, Southern OH Poultry Show, CrossRoads and OH National.

There is one day left on our Buckeye Bantam breeding quad on featherauction. We would also like to pick up a cockerel at Crossroads for one of our 4H members. She has a pullet that she sort of got by accident and now wants to sraise the Buckeye Bantam.

Does Buckeye meat have a different flavor than other breeds? Reading they hard dark, dark meat, thought perhaps they might. Just curious.
Thanks.
