I found some old threads on Buckeye feeds, but one point people liked was that they still used animal proteins. As that no longer appears to be the case, I wondered if people are still fans. I don't have a huge number of options here, but I can get Buckeye, Purina, Blue Seal, Nature's Best, New Country Organics, and some Nutrena.
They're making a mess of their New Country Organics, and leaving certain ingredients behind. I'm thinking of trying a pellet or crumble for the always-available dry feed and feeding fermented NCO once a day. I was trying to go organic with their feed due to egg customers' preferences, but I'm not finding much available locally and I'm not spending the money to ship feed. They're 6 weeks old now, but some of the OEGB's are still quite tiny. Should I go with a crumble? I was looking at the Buckeye Big 4, but I don't know if the pellets are too big. Thanks for any and all input!
