Okay, I bite. I just have to try these birds. (Now to build a new coop to house all my spring chickens.) This truly is a fever I've developed.

Gotta love the fluffy butts. I often think about how I feel when I'm working with chickens and chicks and honestly I almost always have a smile on my face, it truly is enjoyable, it truly is a labor of love. Watching a new fluffy butt crack into the world is a life changing experience, to know that you had just a little bit to do with helping that little guy breathe it's first breath, to peep it's first peep, to imagine the generations after the chick, all perpetuating a once near extinct breed being kept from the brink one pip at a time. The world just seems like a kinder and gentler place when there are chicks hatching.

I really am glad that the egg progress is promising for everyone, I'm happy that efforts have not been given in without reward.

I am really hoping that I have 2 hens and a roo. (What are the chances right?

I don't think anymore will hatch. I will be so happy if more do but I think they are done. Thank you so much! They are so darling. I can't wait to get them out of the bator.

Out of the first four I hatched from BuckeyeDave, three are hens. The answer to your question, definetly possible to get two out of three. I have five more Buckeye chicks in the brooder, but I haven't been able to tell sex yet.​
