Well, Buddha has a buddy now. After having so many low humidity issues, now the little wet chicks are spiking the humidity up! How dry do they have to be before I move them to the brooder box?

Fairly dry. They WILL fluff up, but every now and then they just stay moist. Also, you had some humidity issues (?) and they may LOOK wet and just be crusty.

it's really dry here right now so it was hard to keep RH up, then the little ones hatched and the humidity has been around 75%. While they were pipping, humidity was about 55-60%

Pascal, you made my night. Yes, they sure do. That means they swallowed the yolk sac. Never quite heard it put that way, but I did think the same thing the first time.

OH! That is great!!!! PERFECT! My humidity is at 70% right now and I have three chicks and two more pips and more to go after that. The rise in humidity when hatching is perfectly normal.

OK, good.
So should they go into the brooder or stay in the bator??
I'm second guessing everything right now....total basket case

If you have any more pips, leave them be. They are ok for 72 hours because of the Buddah belly. But if you have no pips and its been a few hours (6 ish) then they are ok to go in the brooder.

So they don't need water either?
