Buff and Light Brahma Gender

Bought these chicks as a straight run at Rural King in March, the person helping me was all like “oh you can tell them sex by their combs .” I internally rolled my eyes and let her go about picking 4 “pullets”. Anyway, I have my strong suspicions. Tangy was feeling shy, but she’s also a buff without the darker wing color of Savory, so I feel fairly sure she’s a girl. She was the biggest of the bunch, but grew a tail super quick, while Savory took his time.

Savory’s wing color and his possible sickle feathers make me fairly sure he’s a he.

Certainly. They're free-ranging right now so being stinkers about being in a photoshoot. When they come in to roost I'll get better shots.

Looking at them while they were free-ranging this morning, the two Lights have so much black on their shoulders it makes me super suspicious.
