Buff Brahma Bantam Gender??? Are they even Bantams?

I'd agreed that #3 looks like a pullet!

I have two that are approx. 8 wks old, I am sure I have one of each and I just took a picture two nights ago, I would be happy to post if you wanted to compare to yours.

Lady, That would be helpful. It seems to be harder with these guys, as their faces are all so feminine. My Cochin's were SO much easier to tell. I'll get out and take better pictures this afternoon.

I've been believing that my guy on the left is my roo and on the right is my pullet. BUT I honestly thought them both to be pullets until about maybe a week or a little more ago, he only just recently started getting a larger comb and getting more MANly looking, haha.

Here's another from the backend. I thought I had some of them standing but guess not, would only take me a moment to get some more though if you wanted.

Then again, maybe I'm completely wrong too! haha

Also she never specified when I got mine if they were Bantams or Standard size, I just assumed Standard as they seem to be keeping up with everyone else their age.

PS - that picture on the trampoline with the kiddos is TOO cute!

Thank you so much. It definitely helps. I have not noticed any off the saddle and hackle feathers yet on any of them. I am pretty sure that number 2 is roo, a lot of red in the face in the last few days. I won't be surprised if #1 is a roo too. They both act like roos (especially in comparison to number 3). I guess we shall see if I am right. "Cricket" (Number 3) is the sweetest chicken ever. My kids carry her around like a baby and she comes when they call her. She still sits on my seven year old mucker boots and falls aslpeep. As long as she doesn't start to crow...that would be really, really bad.

I would say that you are definitely right about your guy. He looks very manly (and handsome too.)

Thanks again.

Here are a couple more pictures of Cricket (number 3). I was not able to get any new pics of her today, but these show her tail feathers a little better. I was actually able to re-home the other two today, but really wouldn't mind a couple more "that's definitely a hen" affirmations on this one. Thanks!

Thank you for the last picture. It helps...Yours has a lot more saddle and hackle feathers than ours does and the comb is definitely redder. Do you know how old he was in that picture. I am being obsessive about this one, as I cannot keep a roo and my 7 year old is utterly in love with this chicken. She carries it around everywhere, reads to it...It follows her around, and sleeps in her lap. I am new to this chicken thing, and even a little reluctant about chicken ownership, but this one has stolen all of our hearts. It will be SO disappointing if she is a he.
