I have 5 buff brahmas that are 8 weeks old and I’m totally clueless about how many are cockerels and how many are pullets. I’m afraid I have mostly Roos.

any help identifying is greatly appreciated. I can have roosters, I just don’t want to have too many in a smallish flock of about a dozen chickens.

#3 (yellow band on left leg) has a redder comb, so it's probably male.

The other four all have paler combs that are quite similar to each other--so they might be cockerels that have not yet gotten redder combs, or they might be pullets, or perhaps some of each.

Brahmas tend to be a bit slow to mature, so I suggest you post pictures again in a few weeks (unless the genders are so clear by then that you don't have to.)

Thanks! Yea, I’m pretty sure yellow band is a roo. He and my EE roo take turns watching the flock.
