Buff Brahma, pullet / roo ? 8 weeks old, pic heavy

While I am visually documenting the growth of this group, for myself and others, curious if anyone had any input on roo vs pullet?

They were supposed to be all pullets. And while we have 4- 8 week olds, there are 3 different sizes so far lol SO I'm hoping just their size is what's making their combs pop more... Although we are okay with one too lol and yes we know they are slow to mature but their color and their comb colors are throwing us off since they blend lol

I was trying to get group photos as they don't have identifying markers yet other than size which can be tricky to capture

All are looking like pullets at this stage. Combs are pale, no wattle development. If you notice rapid growth or coloring in combs, then it is cause for concern and it would be a good idea to post again with new pictures.

As I was about to post I realized it's only been a week since I shared pics lol little over 9 weeks old now. The past week has been so chaotic lol.

The largest at the green feeder is the ones we keep questioning. Around it's face is brighter than the others but it could also be just because it's bigger?

That one's comb is a little larger, but not as large as I'd expect to see from a cockerel, and its buff coloring is pretty even, without deeper colored patches at the shoulders. So I think it and the rest are pullets. This can be a slow developing breed, so it's a good idea to keep your eyes open for sudden changes, but I don't anticipate any of them being cockerels, myself.

Thanks. We have 5 light Brahmas last year and knew at week three we had a cockerel, dudes comb and attitude were "boom! Look at me!" Lol
