Buff Dewlap Toulouse Thread

We have a few dewlaps and have a question on incubators and dewlap eggs, have looked at lot of the incubation topics and incubators didn't find an answer. We were having problems because of the size of the eggs of the dewlap eggs being so large that they almost are on the heating elements or touching the tops. Hate foams (have 2, old house too much air an temp fluctuations), busted a turner on the brinsea dx, went to manual turning which worked out but even that was close size wise, SOO what are some good incubators? Smaller cabinet or table top. Also checked a lot of specs on the cabinets and most have a cutoff on size of eggs.

I have R-com digital incubator and it does turn the eggs but at bedtime I turn them 180 degrees each night. even though it turns them all day. Mine are Sebastopol eggs and they fit fine and still have lots of room with the top. I do believe that dewlap eggs would fit in them. They are expensive but great incubators. I have had several incubators and like the R-com best...

I do after 7 days start taking them out and cooling them for 5 minutes then mist them before I put them back in. I do the method of Pete Guide. Works wonderful. I also run my incubator a bit dry at 20%.

My Africans are slightly behind from last year and I would not be surprised if my dewlaps are a week or two behind as well, but I am in no hurry. I do not plan to hatch any dewlaps this year. Luckily I am already getting orders for eggs so they won't go to waste. I look forward to hearing reports and seeing pics from you, though!

I'll be hatching and I'm getting set up to sell eggs also. Not sure about shipping goose eggs but i will the chickens and ducks.

Dropping in to see if there are any Dewlap Toulouse Geese people in the San Diego area. We are interested in getting some and would be interested in eggs or hatchlings. Do they need a pond or will a kid's swimming pool suffice?
