I have seven buff hens and eight Delaware hens. One Buff rooster and one Delaware rooster. Haven't had a problem with the roos's yet. I had a Rhode Island red rooster that use to come up behind me and try and knock my legs out from underneath me. I had to get rid of him for fear he would do that plus, hurt the grand kids. franko

Yeah for 5 months old he sure thinks hes cool i just pick him up and hold for a while after that do you think this is a rooster from the pic its 5 months old
My MAIN Hen ("Alpha" hen) is mean to everyone! (except my Rooster, who is considerate, but forceful.) She is even MEAN to me! But, I don't put up with her crap, either!
She even has the 2 "game-hens" buffalo-ed (They are part Aseel !).
Just her temperment, I guess. She is a Buff Orpington. They're s'possed to be "docile".
She is also a very considerate, defensive "Mother Hen" and an EXCELLENT LAYER and Brooder. But, she sure as the dickens ain't docile!!!
Looks like a rooster. I had a Buff Orpington roo once and he acted like yours. They're fiesty! (and protective of "their" hens). Maybe he thought you were getting a little to close to his ladies
