I have not had a lot of BO's but they seem like happy-go-lucky chickens. My first BO, used to sneak off and lay her super round eggs that were unfertile, but she didn't want to share them. She used to talk to me and it is where I got, "Dut-dut-dut" Where anytime you said that she would squat. More recently I had a very tame friendly BO. I just ordered over hatch chicks from Meyers and they sent 5 BO's. They were instantly the most friendly, and just think life is one big party. I also had a rooster who was a friendly BO. I am just asking to see what other people have to say.

I'm sure you'll find a lot of mixed feelings on BOs on this site via searching lol

We have one BO left out of four we got. They turned into meaners. Dumb as can be, started bullying our other girls--all same ages. They were a bit off to begin with so it could be they were too inbred, but they won't be on our future list lol

The one we have left is nuts! Haha! She sings ALL the time, in the coop where it echos. She is super friendly, pecks our shoes and jeans, stays close when you pet her, follows us around.

We do enjoy her, but the others were a nightmare lol just the luck of the hatch I guess haha

My buff orpington Juniper is very sweet and sassy. She's best friends with one of my easter eggers Ginkgo and they're my friendliest birds (although they're all friendly)

My Buff Orpington hen, Honey, is really sweet towards people. And she has to be picked up as you walk into the run.
She can be a bit mean to other new chicks/hens. But eventually is ok with them
