Yes, BO rooster and BR hen should make sex links. All chicks with white spots on the head are roosters, the rest are hens. So, you've got two pullets (unless they have a spot I can't see).

Nope, no spot on head. All black with brownish faces. I had read a thread on sex links but wasn't sure I understood it correctly. Thank you!

Nope, the are all black with brownish faces. No spot. Thank you! I had read a thread on sex links but wasn't sure I understood it correctly. This is my first time watching a hen hatch eggs from start to finish. The mom is 2 years old, never been broody before and all of a sudden, I notice she is staying in the coop all day. We just got rid of our rooster for being very aggressive with us, attacking us. He was a rescue and we had trouble with him from the beginning. So Im glad she decided to go broody before we had to get rid of him! I have a chick that hatched out of a blue egg, one of my easter eggers, is it possible to tell the sex on that one? Same rooster. I'll post a pic of the baby.

What about this little one? This one hatched from an Easter egger egg, same dad as the black chicks. I'm thinking it can't identified as male of female by color? This picture is just adorable too. Looking up to momma hen!
