I know!!!!! I keep checking the nesting boxes! I will go on a orpington egg hunt in my backyard today, just like lady of McCamley suggested. My best guess is she will start laying within 2 weeks.

But remember...watched pots and laying hens....

It is also winter hours, with shorter daylight, so she will likely take a little longer to come into lay...they need 12 hours of daylight to trigger...although with that red comb and squatting behavior you know her hormones are up.

This bird is crazy! She has only laid 3 eggs and now decided she wants to sit on them...somebody needs to tell her A) I don't want her to be a teen mom. B) I don't have a rooster!
