Buff Orpington or Buff Cochin??? Opinions please!!!

I have Buff Orpingtons and they're great broodies, and great layers and just all around a sweet bird.

I've never had LF Buff Cochins, but I have had some Bantam Buff Cochins and they're always broody and hardly ever layed, but they were a whole lot sweeter and kid friendly than my Orps.

I would go for the Cochin but that's if you have them as pets. I have had one for 7 years. She is the most loveliest natured chicken I've ever met. Sometimes she just comes over and climbs into my lap. She layed about once every day/ second day for the first 4 years then slowed down a bit. Sometimes doesn't lay during winte times. She had never had chicks but would make a great mother and I think she wouldn't mine her chicks being handled my humans like most other mother hens do. The difference in apparents is basically cochins have feathered legs. Orpingtons do not. There may be a few other differences
