Actually how long do they lay? I would be surprise to see one go past four years old and lay well!

Im impressed with the GOLD in the feathers! Now dont get me started on getting some of those!

You would be amazed at how long hens can lay. Big Mama is going on 5 and since her moult has been laying almost every day. Now I can't say all the older girls lay that well, but I know her egg and I was shocked to see her come back into lay so well especially in winter.
