Buff Orpington - Pullet or Cockerel?

I want to add chickens to our flock. We have 5 leghorns, so egg production doesn't matter. We would like not so nervous chickens. Are Buffs really friendly?

In our flock they are the friendliest followed by the Golden Comets and Barred Rocks.

Update: Sophie will be nine weeks old on Tuesday, and I am 95% sure that she is a pullet who has matured quicker than her flock mates.
