Buff Orpington Tailfeathers

    Does a longer tailfeather mean much on a buff orpington as far as gender goes? 4 weeks old. Sorry, this phone takes terrible pics under red light. Thank you![​IMG]

    Its difficuly to tell by these pics, but 1 out of the 7 4 week BOs has a little over twice the length of tailfeather.

    The photos aren't very clear - it is best to remove the bird from the red light of a heat lamp or just unplug the lamp for the time it takes to photograph - neither will put the bird at any risk. That being said, at 4 weeks it doesn't mean much, no.

    Sorry about that...here are some better pics. It really doesnt matter much to me personally on these two particular beauties, Im more trying to pick the brains of the BYC experts and further my knowledge of the breed. Love me some BOs!
