congrats! !!! We all know how you feel!!!Two of my newest family members! A bit skittish, but working on socialization. Then again, they are only 3 days old!! I also have 3 Barred Rocks. I am so excited about having them, I feel ridiculous! But loving it!!
I'm under the impression that Buff Orps take a little longer to sex than other breeds..thy are getting so big! I wish I could telling they are hens or Roos !
She only does that when other hens go near her. Usually when she gets off the nest she even stops her broody cluck!

Oh my gosh that rooster is so handsome!! Look at those feathers!Just when I thought Bella couldn't get any worse at being broody, she proved me wrong. I went up and she came running out the shed for food, I went and opened her box to see if any other hens had laid any eggs and all the straw was scratted up and the eggs were gone. Looked through the straw and found her eggs and they were still warm so I just give her them back. If she gets any chicks I will be really, really shocked!!
