The first chicken I ever played with as a little girl was a Buff Orpington named Buttercup that was my best friends. I bought one yesterday, and named her Buttercup in honor of the sweetest chicken I have ever known, even to this day. She was so loving and tolerant! We were very young (maybe 8?) and we picked her up and carried her all around and she just let us do whatever. I am very excited for my own little buttercup to grow up, I hope she is as sweet as the one I knew as a girl.
