Thanks aveca! I tried that here, but I think it's just not a good pic. If our 3 day rain lets up when I get home, I'll try for a closer pic. They look washed out here. In reality they are a brighter yellow with one being a shade darker/more orange than the other.

Welcome! they look like buff orpingtons to me. I love the buffs mine have always been sweet, but sometimes they peck these my not be use to being handled or around people try to spend time with em pick them up don't be afraid, (pick up from behind them, place your hands on each side right on top of wings & lift) and sit em in your lap & gently rub their waddles all mine love lots of attention when you hold them give em a treat like fruit or veggie this will help them to enjoy being touched. hope this helps.

Well I took y'alls advice and picked up one of my hens today. She didn't freak out, though she didn't particularly enjoy it either. I felt a bit better too...not so nervous. Then one pecked my foot when I tried to block her from going into the donkey pasture where my neighbors chicken eating dog was. Sigh...

and has not been back again. you may want to put up something if you don't the dog will find his way over to your chickens. It will get easier to hold your chickens after a few times & they all will peck when you don't let them have their way.

Got some chickens from KrazyKat today all hens are doing great together but the NN rooster & my Buff Orpington got in a few fights I put the NN in a small coop for now to keep everyone safe. have a ? will these roosters work things out & live together in peace or will I need to get rid of one?
