You are welcome! I really want to get some eggs from you as soon as one my girls go broody. I keep telling myself to wait on a broody because if I buy an incubator I might go overboard hatching babies.

What are the rooster like friendly?

It depends on the rooster. From what I have read and from talking to others on this thread Buff roos are generally gentlemanly but man did we have a stinker last year. He was difficult at first when he was a chick and then he became super sweet and was my fav chicken for a bit and then when he hit 14 weeks, Lord Have Mercy!!! I made excuses for him for a while but when he did his Kung Fu chicken moves on me while I was going to let the girls out of the run, I knew he had to go.

I am new to Orpingtons. I picked these two beauties up at our local Agway. They are so friendly and smart. Had them outside for the first time today. They are also fearless. Love them!

I have a buff that is twelve weeks old, and after looking through some of these pictures I'm starting to wonder if she is a roo. She grew a distinct comb and waddles early. She is the leader of my four, picks on them, and is the most standoffish with us. Any guesses based on these pictures?

@motherofazoo I would guess that is a roo, especially based on the way she acts.
