*Buff Orpington Thread!*

I'll be moving the Orpington to their new coop maybe in the next 2-3 weeks when the weather in Los Angeles cool down a little bit. My husband just flat out refuse to stay in the sun assembling the coop ! Me too! But the girls are only 6 weeks old & almost as big as my 4 month old Silkies! They will outgrow those Silkies soon.

Well, to be fair they act like children, spoiled children! I do have two sons, but my chickens are the baby girls I never had.

Hello! Just found this thread. I have had 3 Buff Orpingtons girls for 3 years. They are sweet, docile, and lay lots of eggs for me! One has survived being stepped on (Squishy), and the other girls are Polly and Sally.

Welcome!! I have several types and my Orpingtons both buff and lavender are by far the nicest, but I do have one very inquisitive and friendly Barred rock.

Yep we have one of those, she has a bad leg still, but she still gets around fine, and it hasn't effected her personality. Well, I take that back she enjoys being spoiled.
