There is an 8' fence around the orchard that the lines are attached to. They go to a central pole 10' tall. Then on the other sides from the pole to wires strung between the pear trees.The hawks and eagles hover , but don't want to risk their wings. The nice thing about the monofilament is that it does not catch leaves. I do have bird netting as a second layer over all the hydrangeas too. I'll be interested to see how this works this weekend as we are expecting ICE !I found it! Its under Post your Pictures here thread, post 7777 I think.
