I haven't. I definitely need to get that done. It is also about the time we do start bringing them outside. I actually don't use medicated, but Ty for the info. I will need a new bag very soon and will start using that. What age do u worm them for the 1st time. I've tried researching that, but gotten SOOOO many different opinions, its exhausting.
My babies are wormed at 2 and 4 weeks with Wazine, and then at 6,8,10,12 weeks with Safeguard and Valbazan alternating. This is important if you want nice big birds.

Ok. I'm going today to get some. Ty!!! Its nice to have a solid plan! And ur birds r GORGEOUS! So I totally trust ur opinion. Do u just do yearly after that or twice a year?

One thing that clicked with me is Stance in regards to spotting a boy. Like Dragon Lady says, comb and feathering but for me, stance as well. I find it easiest to spot the "attitude" they stand with even from just a few days old. I look at the comb and the stance and since learning to look for it, have not often been wrong.

I have found that over the years Sarah..some birds are natural showmen, they present themselves .they will practically jump in a judges arms ..while others want no part will cower in corners and dont want to be part, you have to work to get a good look at them..Vickies Buff roo is a natural showman..is relaxed looks good and he knows it.was waiting at the door to be picked up presenting his wide chest...My blk roo is differnt story..you have to move around to get a good look at him, he would rather not be bothered, kind of shrinks himself and just doesnt show well to visitors or shows or anything.... the buff wouldnt even lay down and take a break, he was busy being seen.....

Dragonlady I have 6 week olds that I have never wormed. If I don't see worms in their poo should I still worm them? I know I could get ahold of the safeguard fairly easily. Does it say specifically for poultry? Your advice is greatly appreciated by us newbies. Seeing your birds is all we need to see to know you know what you are doing! LOL tongue twister

Safeguard 1209 % liquid Goat Wormer is a great, safe wormer for poultry. For babies you put 1 TEASPOON in a gallon of water for 3 days, making a new solution each day. Repeat in 10 days.
