*Buff Orpington Thread!*

I don't know if you are presenting this as your pullet but this MY pullet. The pic was taken in my backyard with one of my blues behind her. You can go to my profile page (which I am sure you have found) and see the rest of my birds. In the future it would be wise to give credit where credit is due: in this case Thank you Don for giving pullets that are nice enough for someone else to want to pass off as theirs.

If you read back a few posts I believe the poster stated that it was not his/her bird and wasn't sure why it came off as theirs (maybe quoted wrong further back). I think it honestly was a mistake.

EDITED: I swear I saw someone comment that the picture showing up under something they posted was not their bird. I can't find the comment, so I retract my earlier defense. Sorry.

PS: it is a beautiful bird.

I will enter them in a show, if they do get big! If you want I will give you updates on how big they are getting every month or so?

Ok sure here you go!

That's my boy

I'll get my pullet one hold on

Please explain to me how I got it wrong? This person posted in this order and never made mention that the last pullet (mine) was not theirs. I am not wrong on this.

I checked the next 4 pages after your picture (which I know is yours) and there is nothing either. Nothing before, nothing after about it being someone elses bird...... even if they did want to use your picture as an example, they have to give you credit AND obtain your permission.

Obviously, they did none of those things. Just got your picture off a website and used it. That is stealing where I come from.

Now, I hope you learn to either put your face in pictures like some people do or put your screen name or something over the bird. Shame you have to do that, but I have learned years ago that it is best.

Okay I just went over the entire thread. Littlechicklet you are correct! There was no mention that the Buff was not Bufforp123 bird. However I do not see the exact picture on your profile Littlechicklet. I see similar pics but not a duplicate.? What album has this pic in it?

I know this was meant for littlechicklet but I can tell you that this picture is on one of her other online social media profiles. ;)

Well then perhaps it would be wise to provide proof of ownership to the moderators. I have heard of these situations on sites like Facebook and Myspace and when the person whose photo was stolen was able to prove ownership to the moderators they blocked the person who stole the picture. I don't understand why someone would do this with a bird. I would be upset if it happened to me. The purpose of this website is to share, learn, and be proud of our flocks. Hopefully this doesn't mean I need to initial all my pics when my flock gets bigger. Please keep the rest of us informed as to what happens so we can deal with our own pictures and take precautions accordingly

I will provide ownership to the moderators. I went back and I had posted the pic not even 2 days before on the Post Pics of Orps Here thread on this site: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/259995/post-pics-of-orps-orpingtons-here/11690 (I was mistaken and do not have it added to the folder on my profile of my Buff Orps). If you go to the thread I referenced you will also see that BuffOrps123 posted immediately before (I think or after) my post. I also posted several other pics on that thread in the posts before and after.

It is sad when someone steals from someone else. I will find a way to watermark my pics from here on out but I am afraid a good thief can remove watermarks if they really want to. I will also update if I get a response about this.

Enjoy your buffs as I know I do mine.
