Those hens are obviously in molt, but the Germans breed to the English standard.look at these big orps these are not mine.
I'm very glad that you are reporting.I will provide ownership to the moderators. I went back and I had posted the pic not even 2 days before on the Post Pics of Orps Here thread on this site: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/259995/post-pics-of-orps-orpingtons-here/11690 (I was mistaken and do not have it added to the folder on my profile of my Buff Orps). If you go to the thread I referenced you will also see that BuffOrps123 posted immediately before (I think or after) my post. I also posted several other pics on that thread in the posts before and after.
It is sad when someone steals from someone else. I will find a way to watermark my pics from here on out but I am afraid a good thief can remove watermarks if they really want to. I will also update if I get a response about this.
Enjoy your buffs as I know I do mine.
My buff orp does not seem to be getting any tamer I got her at 14 weeks and we are now on week 17 any tips/advise
Chickens are prey animals so thier instinct is fight or flight...they are naturally just "chicken" So dont be upset..I have some that are real cuddles and some that want nothing to do with being picked up or handled in any way...if you look at it from thier point of view , you are pretty big and look threatening thou you arnt..Some strains will tame very fast, some take lot longer to accept the handeling..It depends on how you handle them too..when you pick them up, they need to feel secure that you are not going to drop them or squeeze them too hard..its a balancing act....watch vidios on you tube about how to correctly handle a chicken for show or if you just need to..it will probably help you more than me explaining it..it takes some practice but with time it gets easy..they wont flap or carry on at all if you are holding them correctly..And just accept chicken nature..they are "chicken"![]()
Yes I see the pic, clearly from you. I don't even know how to put initials on mine! I will figure it out when they are big and beautiful LOLI will provide ownership to the moderators. I'm not sure if BuffOrps123 is sharing an account, but it appears that at least 1 person posting under this name is a minor:

I think a 12 year old might need a little bit of guidance on what "intellectual property" and "plagarism" means.
Between being openly admitting to being a minor, plagarism, and some other snarky responses to senior members' posts on another thread... Oi!
