Absolutely! I still have a few of my old hatchery girls, and up next to the good ones, they are TINY. Even my "Big Girl," the biggest hatchery hen, is smaller than the breeder birds.
Yes, that's one of the most evident differences even to newcomers...standard bred birds are BIG compared to hatchery/feed store birds. Of course there's alot more differences too but size is the first to meet the eye (-;

I would definitely love to have some chicks sired by this stud in the future!

I do not sell eggs or chicks, but I do ship juveniles all over the US.

OH! He is beautiful!!! If I breed one of yours with a hatchery will they be as big? I would love to have a Monty Jr decorating my backyard! Please IM me your price range for your Cockerels.
I dought a hatchery bird would breed true, I would think you would get a crossbred type offspring . That is if hatchery birds are like commercial laying breeds that we have here. Even if they did breed true they wouldn't have the right type because a lot of type whe breeding comes from the hen

I always ask people wanting to up grade their hatchery birds to send me photos.Some hatcheries are worse than others.I need to see if there is anything to work with, before taking peoples' money on false hopes.

Well you guys will be getting pictures soon because mine are getting bigger and I am still not quite confident on all their genders. I do have ONE beautiful buff that really stands out. I have always noticed a huge difference and originally assumed it was a male, but now i am not so sure. If it turns out to be a girl then I think it will breed beautifully. My others just don't compare to it.
