From the picture it looks like you have a red light. Is it a heat lamp and if so could she have gotten to close to it to touch it?Any ideas on how to get rid of this bubble?
They handle it really well. I put out cat litter boxes half full of water and they like to stand in that. I put it in the shade and their coop is in the shade under a tree. If it gets really hot, which it does sometimes in the low 90's, I put a small box fan at the window in the coop to help circulate the air and cool it down. Our nights are cool and comfortable. We have a lot of trees so there's shade everywhere. I put ice in their water twice a day and it's in the shade so it doesn't really get hot.How well do Buffs handle heat?
I'm in South Florida and these are my favorite kind of hen.
Will they be ok with proper shade and hydration?
