Well it all depends on how much time you want to invest in the rooster. Is he worth your time? If he is then I would train him to be better than a "Teenage boy"If he isn't worth the time and is just a problem rooster cull, Cull, CULL!!
He most likely will not outgrow his annoying stage without intervention from you. I am able to keep 17 roosters in perfect harmony but I am very active in the pecking order and maintain my dominance. Maintaining a pecking order with you as the head will curb his "annoying" persona.
I'm a beginner, so how does one reign in a rooster?
I've got 4 to 5 depending on what this buff turns out to be and until I can figure out how to get rid of htem, I would like them to behave.
Currently I'm keeping the 3 worst offenders isolated in their own run.
It's strange because they get along fairly well together, but throw the girls in the mix and they turn into little monsters.
If he isn't worth the time and is just a problem rooster cull, Cull, CULL!!
the smallest came first and I'm thinking was from one of my silkies and the larger from a buff orpington
