*Buff Orpington Thread!*

400

I am new to Orpingtons. I picked these two beauties up at our local Agway. They are so friendly and smart. Had them outside for the first time today. They are also fearless. Love them!

My Buff Orpington chick seems to be maturing slower than the other two chicks (Barred Rock and Easter Egger). Are Buff Orpingtons a bit slower to mature, or do I just have a slow one?

They all develop at different speeds. I have three buffs the same age and they all at different stages of development. One has a bright red comb and wattle that's very developed, one has a developed comb but its pink, one still barely has a comb. ( they are definitely all hens) Its fun to watch them grow.

Thanks, Kylea0219. These are my first chickens and I've been hoping to put them in the outside coop as they will be a little over 4 weeks. Our outside temps are currently about 77-78 days and 55-59 nights. Is that too cold without a heat source? (the coop is completely enclosed, plus a run.)
