*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Popped on to share this pic of my boy guarding his ladies <3 They love to hang out in and around that old bale ring, we let the weeds stay as it gives them cover out in the pasture and he NEVER lays in there with them, only on the perimeter keeping diligent watch. I just LOVE him <3

Also, wondering if chickens can overdose on earthworms? LOL! I walked around with these guys and man alive that's A LOT of worms!

Don't you just love the way they "guard". I don't free range, but Charlie takes his run patrol very seriously. I've always wondered if he can "count" he seems to know exactly where each girl is at all times

Thank you! Daisy does, but she gets sick if no food is involved! Bella doesn't!! And Orp goes through phases haha
Thank you! :)

I can see that! They can be a bit let say "snobbish" if no food.

@Wyorp Rock
I was JUST wondering that same thing the other day! Whether they can count? Seems like they must? It would be cool to know that :D

I am so excited! Can you tell? Buffy was teaching her chicks how to get to the roost! I wish that I had the camera aimed to show that - they did not all make it, and she came down to settle them into a nest box!

They are only 23 days old! My chickens are clearly geniuses! Chicken Mensa here we come.
