What is her musical taste? Haha!
It's a mix I used to run to of all things! I figured they'd probably heard nothing but loud noises since hatching, and my spare room must be like a tomb! So far, so good. Goodness, the things we do for our critters!

Nuggets bloomers are very pretty! The other little girl looks just as sweet!
I haven't been on for a while...but I'm back! I wanted to compare a pic of my hatchery buff(store bought) and my english buff. They're about the same age 1 1/2 months or so
Yeah I know not the best pic, and no she's not sick it was fresh and I guess she felt a bit cold.( Any thoughts on what I/we should name her?)
And my little Nugget

WoW! What are going to do with all of those! Do you sell the chicks or just expand your flock?I have more eggs in the bator!!these shouldn't hatch til 3 more weeks I got them yesterday from my FAVORITE breeder! They were shipped in yesterday morning, so I set them late last night and the rest under my broodies, the eggs that are in the very back have a detached aircell so I hand turn those![]()
The GL are golden laced orps, and BA are Black Australorps don't mind them
And one of my babies is hatching right now!! Sadly my little showgirl didn't make it![]()

Sounds like you will be busy for a long time!!Well for right now I'm just expanding the flock and as soon as my pullets begin to lay I'll begin to sell the chicks, I'm also going have TONS of projects that I want to do as soon as these eggs hatch!! Since I don't have any black orps I'm just going to make a bunch of projects using my Lavender orps
These are the breeds I plan on "making"
1. Lav Australorp
2. Isabel lav laced orps
3. Choc laced orps
4. Lav cochins
5. Lav cuckoo orp
6. Choc cuckoo orp
7. Isabel cuckoo orp
8. Lav mott orp
9. Choc mott orp
I have two BO chicks from my broody's hatching that are about that size. Even at 4 weeks, they are at least 1/3 smaller than their BO/Welsummer cross siblings. Today I saw one of those darling little chicks get mad at one of their bigger brothers or sister and beat it up. Feisty? You bet. Only feelings were hurt. When I stepped in to help Mom who was frantic, little PeeWee had the bigger bird by the down feathers on the back of its head dragging it around the pen.
I have a feeling that little one is going to be a force to reckon with it gets a little older. Being small doesn't necessarily mean being weak, I discovered.
