*Buff Orpington Thread!*

After one of our buffs got a touch of frostbite on her comb in terribly cold weather here in NH, they now each have a handknit hat for super cold nights or days! We have 4, and each has a different color hat!
I took these cute pictures of hubby with Hannah the hen---she loves to be with us, sit on our laps, and come in when she can!

Oh and I am a knitter - making a hat for my buffs. One (my favorite!) got a little frostbite during our sub zero spell a few weeks ago. My husband thinks I'm nuts but I'm really attached to this chicken

Our 4 buffs had the same thing happen. They now each have a hat---every one a different color! Here are photos of one, Hannah the hen, with hubby wearing hers! She is a doll who loves to be with us, sit on our laps, and come in when she can!

So we now have 4 little ones to look at. The 3 big ones are 7 weeks old and we knew definitely one was a cockerel from early on. The little one is 6 weeks old and still with mum any idea's on sex??

Cute chicks! The 1st and 2nd photos looks like a pullet. The 3rd looks like a pullet and cockerel, the 4th looks like a pullet.

Just my thoughts

I got up to check on them last night and ended up with one nestled in my neck fast asleep. I think she thinks I am mama. :love
