*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Hello BO parents!
My little buff is about 6 weeks old.....so sweet, kinda silly, and curious. I'm thinking it may be a him instead of a hen...... what do you guys think.

My neighbor is having me chicken sit for her this weekend, and she just has six hens, and they are the most beautiful Buff Orpingtons, full bodied, the edges of their feathers have slightly darker buff lacing, been getting five eggs a day from the six of them.
Sounds like fun Cuz! You'll be falling in love with those girls too

"PILGRIM CHICKENS"!

Lol, we are historical reenactors and we live in a 240 year old house that we DIY restored for years. We also 'tricked out' our chicken coop with 'antique' features to go with our house.
Since we love everything 17thc., I thought it would be funny to do a little photo shoot with our Buff Orpingtons, and I had the crazy idea to cut a hole in the bottom of a CUPCAKE PAPER, and a slit to turn it into an instant PILGRIM COLLAR!!
Our model, Hannah was great for the 'shoot' and we had a laugh, and thought some of you might like to see these pictures!

This is biscuit. :) She is about 6 weeks old. We picked up her and 7 other pullets on Saturday. (well, we think they are all pullets) She is my favorite. I love the Buff Orpingtons! I can't wait for her to grow up big and beautiful.

I set 8 Buff Orpington eggs today. I'm probably going to sell my hens soon, so these might be my last BO chicks. Right now I'm saving BO eggs and I'll probably sell a dozen or so hatching eggs.
