*Buff Orpington Thread!*

Been battling a migraine all day and off my feet. I'll have a pic up by tomorrow at the latest, if not tonight. It's right at a 50% ratio on the tail/no tail issue and my order was a straight run fwiw.
No rush

I'm not an expert either, I got 10 pullets and ended up with one rooster in them,my first order was straight run and I got 3 roos, one hen and two hens that turned rooster after 8 months old lol

Aww look at the mama buff. I'd love to hatch chicks someday when I more experience and time. My younger bo has gone super broody. I'm trying to break her but every barrier I put between her and the nest, she breaks it down and runs back into the nesting box

. It's odd that she became broody, she was still laying soft shell eggs up until she became broody.

My family got ten chicks in all, and my parents let us each choose one breed for our own, and I chose two BOs! (2 because my dad let me choose/have his) here are some pictures of them recently.... The bigger one is Filly (I made the mistake of letting my dad name her...his original name for her was Chick-Fill-A...) and the smaller one is Marmalade, or Lady for short They are already so sweet and calm and they LOVE to perch on my shoulder! which I love...:)
The cuteness is lethal. Soo they all seem to have food names

.... lol What other breed did your family have? And what made you choose the Orpington's?

We have 2 Barred Rocks, 2 EEs, 1 GLW, Light Brahma, RIR, Isa Brown. I really wanted a chicken I can train, and people I knew recommended them to me.

On another subject for all of you experienced BO owners....Can you tell (or help) me sex the chick on the right? I'm worried that she is a he...the comb is a little bit bigger than everyone elses but it is still quite pale... they will be four weeks on tuesday. Is it still to early to tell?
