*Buff Orpington Thread!*

I'm sorry @ChickenMama6RIR
but I just * to mention your Cockerel/Pullet ratio. How many females for each males do you have in the pen

*should say had here. Sorr my keyboard is not cooperating.

Lol it's ok. I have 10 hens and 2 roosters. I am planning on getting rid of one of them. I'm just not sure which one yet :/
Perfect!

Thank you for the reply. So then it appears I may have a rooster, even though they were all supposed to be sexed hens. Haha oh well. I could use him. The one I have now is mean any ways.
Pictures for comparison. They are a day or two old but they look the same as of Friday.

I am so excited to finally have a BO. This is Marigold. She was an escapee at the feed store... we went in the chick room to pick our chicks and she came running out from behind a box. When the chick-girl caught her, we decided that she was 'the one' - she has spunk! And she ties with the Austrolorp chick for being the most friendly.

Awwwwwwwwwww! I had that happen to me, but with a duck lol! We were going to get them and my duck "Daffy" decided to jump/fall out of the brooder box. Right into the girls lap. That duck is still falling off things today :lau

This is bantam. We call her bantam because she was always the smallest and bottom of the pecking order. NOW she's queen! I love her tail, and sometimes she shakes it back and forth. It's so cute.
