We were sold 4 chicks that were all supposed to be Buffs. This chick clearly is not, but I’m having trouble figuring out what it is. Any help? Only pic I have right now. Can get more later. Thank you.

Dark feathers are brown with some black underneath the wings. Also, some brown in the neck feathers.
Everyone seems to be thinking cockerel. We were wondering if it was a male, too.

My hen has hatched a day early or maybe I just counted wrong. but I don’t have any chickens like this. I do have hybrid so what I’m finding in hatching anything is possible. Also it could be from any of 3 roosters I have, all different. Yes she’s 100% mutt! But I have seen baby chicks that look similar to her. Does anyone know?

Possibly an EE. Not quite the same markings, but close.
