just venting... I do an "egg check" several times a day throughout the yard. Check in the coop. I have golf balls in the nesting boxes and oyster shell on hand for the big day. I know one for sure is a rooster but the rest should be hens...

I feel your pain. I only have one laying. Still 5 more. They're SO CLOSE! I know they are. I can practicly taste it.

I have had a couple start at 19 weeks, 1 at about 20-21 weeks and now finally one more started yesterday at 22 or 23 weeks (not sure who it is). I still have others that are 22 and 23 weeks who have not started yet. You are probably getting close though!

aint as bad as me... I have a 236 Leghorn and a Easter Egger who are 30+ weeks old, 4 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Wyandotte and 1 Buff Orp who are 27+ weeks old that haven't started laying yet. And my hens who have started laying, haven't laid in over two weeks. Oh and two Ameraucanas and two Silkies that are 23 weeks old and they, of course, haven't started laying either.

Talk about depressing...

I had one that was 30 weeks old before she layed her first egg. The eggs will come.

My buff orpingtons did not start laying until they were about 7 months old. Don't get too excited. This is not totally unusual for some of the larger breeds IMHO.

On a positive note my Buff Orpingtons just started at about 20 weeks.... but I only have 2 laying so far. Expect your first eggs to be in the floor or somewhere odd lol

Good luck...

Any Pics of your pullets?
