I have 6 buff orpingtons. 2 out of the 6 have delayed feathering and no tail feathers. They are a little over 3weeks old does this mean they are males?

it probably means either those ones are growing slower than the others for one reason or another, or you have two pullets in a flock of cockerals. The reason being that cockerals usually grow faster than pullets.

Oo goodness I hope not flock of cockerals. We bought them as hens but I know that's only a 90% with venting.

In my experience with Orps the boys feather out much slower , especially in the shoulders

With ninety percent reliability, the odds are against that. You probably have a flock of pullets, and two are growing slightly slower.

You should start to tell a significant difference in feather. Not 100% just my experience. Start to look for pointed versus round saddle feathers
