Buff Orpingtons

Buff Orpingtons are great pets. At my house I have six Buff Orpingtons. My favorite chicken in my flock is named Lily.She is the lowest on the pecking order, Lily is also the scrawniest chicken in my flock.

I must agree, Buff Orps are great pets. I had 3, but now down to 1 due to some mysterious illness. Rosie is the lone ranger at the moment until I can get some more to keep her company.

Is there a reason she is so scrawny, are the other birds bullying her away from the feed? If so add a feeding area where she can find it., same with water. Does she have worms or mites?

I hate to think of her going through life as the "scrawny chicken."

Heya and welcome to backyard chickens !

I have 2 bantam orpingtons one buff called ginger and one black called Mabel. Together they raised chicks for the first time this year. They are wonderful mums and inseperable friends. They are also very happy to have a cuddle, and to share the latest chicken gossip with you.
I love them to bits.
