Buff orps - are they roo's

They were hatched out on halloween.

I'm a newbie, but they look like roos to me. I have two BOs about the same age, and they do not have wattles yet.

I would guess pullets. Those combs and wattles are pretty small for a Buff Orp roo of that age. Can you see any pointy hackle or saddle feathers?

Well, you've grown them out this far. If you have processing in mind, we've done them at 18 and 20 weeks and they were tender enough to fry or grill.

seems as though i was correct then, i have them up for sale, no-one in my family likes the idea of processing

Hmmm..... about 14 weeks. I *think* I see some saddle feathers though it's hard to tell which is which in the pics. Legs aren't terribly thick, and the comb/wattle development is still iffy. But at the moment, I'd say both are probably cockerals.
