I am so far at 9 Buffs, 4 Favs and 2 silkies (one black or gray, one buff or white?). Hoping for another Fav and more Buffs but who knows. Still on day 21.
The poor sweet baby that had pipped upside down looks gorgeous. It is a huge chick. It was NOT coming out and the membrane had started creating a dried up cacoon around it. So I did the thing I really hate to do and I eventually helped it out in the middle of the night. Poor thing. It is very weak and cannot walk. I am wondering if it somehow did not get enough oxygen. It was so odd seeing the airsac under the chick. I am hoping she comes around, but I am certain this is going to be a sad ending.
Gosh the Favs are a beautiful shade of lemon white. They are lovely!
