Hi Everyone!

For those Silkie Lovers out there. I have a 9 month old Buff Silkie Rooster whom is a late bloomer...Lol
Anyway he has not yet belted out the famous Cock-A-Doodle-Doooo yet. I’m sure it’s coming. He is however belting out a very loud call that remarkably mimics a Northern Flicker every morning and occasionally through out the day everyday. Is this one of their normal calls? Or is it his unique Rooster call?

Each rooster has his own unique crow so that may just be his. But my guess is that he is just practicing. We once had a young barred rock who would constantly crow a loud screechy noise. But he got better at it until it finally sounded right!

I am having technical difficulty getting video to upload; I’m sure it’s operator error . If you search You Tube for Northern Flicker call that’s what he sounds like
