splash to partedge well make blue, brassy blue, blue partrdge

Is blue/partridge alright? I really want to focus on the blue/splash pen and then get buff and porcelain. But I don't want to get rid of my two partridge ( one is a showgirl). Howeve,r my husband isn't fond of building coops and runs and said I can only have one more for now.

So hard to believe your DH isn't fond of building coops and runs! My DH just loves it!

Hello Thought I would join,
I joined this forum to get info on everything even though I live in New Zealand!
Here we do not have good silkies, some are very good but no one lets out their line. The main problem is SIZE is to small. But I recently aquired some buff silkies. Here they are aloud black in their tail. Mine are lovely big buffs. How do you guys go about raising them a such? And how could I breed the black out of their tails
Thanks

.........cause I get very upset having to wait for a coop to get built. ( actually he has only built one, the other is a large dog house he had to modify), the runs are dog kennel panels. I asked him to build a bigger coop and bigger run for this winter and he told me spring sounded better

Unfortunately, you are correct! He doesn't understand. I think he is catching on though...when I tell him I want more chickens, he just rolls his eyes now. I went from three to twelve and now I want MORE, and he has gone from saying no, to saying ..whatever...it has only taken him 6 months to realize with chickens IT JUST WON'T STOP!!! They keep multiplying!

I am having sooooo much fun watching these chicks grow up and even thinking some of them might be show quality! I have some hatching eggs on order that are from SQ stock, so I'm really excited about those. My DH is in next spring mode also, so I'll make do with the facilities I've got for now. Fortunately we have lots of land!

If you want to learn a lot about silkies you can read this thread and take notes. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=297632&p=1 There is also a silkie thread on just about every color. Just do a search to find it. I have read them all from start to finish but then I don't have little child to tend anymore.

Just remember that not everything you read is accurate...
