Buff Silkie Thread!

so ur telling me to breed them to a buff that has the black in them like there tips of tails and wings have black or grey
 
o ok that sounds right have another question i have heard of ppl using white silkies to do that so they keep the light colouring but at the same time get the darker skin and combs and such is this a good idea
 
when i did it last year i ended up culling all babies they where all columbians and none where buff white isnt truely white it a cover of another color

o i see so its only a good idea if u know ur silkie is carrying the dominant white gene correct
also way off topic i have a columbian silkie roo if i put him to white should the chicks come out with his pattern

so really there is no knowing untill i see the chicks or thats good cause i have his eggs in the bator right now on day 9
 
this is why I love the buffs, I enjoy the challenge!
